One of the best things about this job is connecting with creative women from all around the world. A recent stay in Byron Bay with Spell to celebrate the launch of their new collection underlined this for me big time. Not only was it amazing to be amongst the truly innovative and creative community that Lizzy and Isabella have created at Spell, but it was also an opportunity to meet up with new and old friends, all of who are doing amazing things. What a dream!
You’ll remember Spell from the DIY projects we’ve created together over the years, and it’s very inspiring to work with such a talented and welcoming group of women. As per usual they created a stunning backdrop to celebrate the launch of their new resort collection – think neutral prints, delicate lace and gorgeous swimwear (made from a sustainable fabric that’s fabricated from post consumer waste like plastic bottles and fishing nets!). Naturally we had to raise a glass, or two!
Sarah, Tara and Chloe are wearing the new Oasis collection out October 5, whilst I’m wearing this jacket and these shorts.
Celebrating Spell Oasis in Byron Bay
A Magical Movie Night
An outdoor movie night overlooking Wategoes Beach, complete with coconut margaritas, fish tacos and Dirty Dancing on the screen. What more could you want? Oh that’s right, a pod of whales to swim by on their migration south. Amazing!
Lunch in the Hinterland
Friday long lunch has forever been my ultimate way to celebrate, and it’s something I almost never get to do anymore! So naturally I was totally up for a long lunch in the hinterland overlooking Byron with so many amazing women.

Thanks so much for having me Lizzy, Isabella and Mell from Spell, and to Tara, Hayley, Ellie and Chloe for all the fun! In case you’re interested, you my want to check out a few of the DIY projects I’ve created with Spell, including this DIY Cutlery Roll and this amazing Grazing Platter.
