A Pair & A Spare is a creative community.

The Website

a pair & a spare is about getting creative in all areas of life, and showing you how you can do it yourself. Here you’ll find tutorials, recipes, interviews, behind the scenes, studio tours and IMHO advice columns.

The Founder

Geneva Vanderzeil grew up in Australia and after moving to London in 2008 started a pair & a spare (read all about the journey here). Initially Geneva created her blog as a journal for her DIY projects, but over time it has grown to become a place for hundreds of thousands of people to get creative with their lives. Six years on, a pair & a spare isn’t just a website, it’s a global community of like-minded women, sharing wherever they go the good times, laughs and inspiration. And maybe one or two fails… but that’s totally part of the process!

Geneva has published a best selling book called DIY Fashionista, designed a shoe collection and most importantly, been able to turn her passion for creativity into a career. She has worked with brands from all over the world (Dyson, Etsy, Ralph Lauren, Marriott) to create unique content and written for major publications like Harper’s BAZAAR and Vogue, and through her business and blogging advice, inspired others to do the same. Geneva splits her time between Hong Kong and Australia, but travels so much she feels like a nomad!
