CURRENTLY WEARING: EMERALD IN HANOI
4th November 2013
If you’ve been following me on instagram you’ll know that I recently spent a four lovely nights in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was my first time visiting the country and I fell in love, pretty much instantly. With the chaos, the quaint streets and the drip coffee. It helped that we stayed at the gorgeous Metropole Hanoi, a hotel dating back to french colonial days with so much history and character. They had the most beautiful terrace where I relaxed after long days wandering the streets of the old quarter. On our last night we had cocktails overlooking West Lake and beforehand I attempted to wash the dust (acquired exploring on motorcycles) out my hair and get a little bit dressed up – always tricky when all your clothes are crumpled at the bottom of your suitcase. Choosing the only things that weren’t completely crushed (did I mention I hate ironing?) I wore this skirt I made a while ago, along with a DIY emerald necklace from a kit designed by Aimee of Swellmayde for Wander & Hunt.
Love this DIY necklace!
