HOW TO: WEAR A WHITE TEE
18th September 2013
You never forget your first job do you? The trepidation of that first day, and the eventual excitement about going to work and eagerly chatting with your friends (hopefully not when there’s someone waiting to be served, but what can I say? Girls gotta talk!). For that reason, I’m excited and ever so slightly nostalgic at being part of Witchery’s Style Collective, after all it was Witchery that taught me a host of important lessons during my formative years (not including sweater folding – my floordrobe can attest to me having lost that skill along the way). And although most of my memories of Saturday mornings there are tinged with the remnants of a serious hangover (we used to go to nightclubs that sold 8 drinks for $10…), it was Witchery that helped me to cultivate the beginnings of a lifelong love of fashion, and also my first understanding of what a ‘season’ was (my family was more the national geographic type than the fashion magazine type), for which I am eternally grateful.
In my first post for the collective, I talk through an essential piece in my wardrobe – the white tee – and suggest a few ideas for how to wear it three ways (I could think of a hundred ways but didn’t want to overdo it!). Spoiler alert, there’s something akin to a short suit involved (and some chambray!).

Laughing to read that Sara also worked there when she was at uni, it seems working at Witchery is a right of passage for Brisbane girls!
