Currently Wearing: Denim on Denim

Inspiration Sep 26, 2013

As we are once again bombarded by crossed over seasons (I’m still wearing ss13 clothes, window shopping aw13 and internet stalking ss14 – gah!) I’m reminded that some trends are so eternal they’re barely trends at all. Florals for spring! Plaid for fall! May sound cliche but isn’t that, in essence, what we all lean towards? And have you ever noticed that tumblr and pinterest are overflowing with images that are months, nay years old and people don’t get sick of them (anthing with a crisp white shirt, ripped jeans and a red lip seems to be universally popular). My favourite ‘trends’ are ones, therefore, that never go out of fashion (and I guess then aren’t trends at all) – who doesn’t love longevity in what they wear? And although this Greylin denim short suit may be a bit touch and go for some of you, to me the combo of white silk, denim and leopard print is a staple that transcends most trends. And just think, you can TOTALLY wear it as separate pieces if you tire of denim on denim. Head over to Harper’s Bazaar to read some of my favourite denim on denim picks.

I had a super fun time taking these pics with my friend Bridget, felt like such a honour to shoot with her!
