DIY HOME: FRAMED QUOTES
3rd February 2013
Too skint to afford art? Why not frame your favourite quotes instead? Perfect for reminding you of your new years resolutions too – although I don’t think ‘eat less mars bars’ would look that great on my wall, not in comparison with other, more philosphical, quotes about life as a journey and loving oneself and whatnot. What would you put in your framed quote? Something heady and thought inducing or something less all encompassing but more on the pragmatic side? I’d love to hear!

this is such a fantastic idea, definitely will try to get some prints for my room!

Wow wonderful ideas!
When I go to Uni in September, I’m tempted to make one that says “You can do anything” on it, just to keep me motivated.

I love that!
This is such a great idea and I love the selection of frames and prints in your photos.

That’s such a good idea, I’ve had a pretty stressful few weeks with Uni work and stuff, so it would be great to have some positive quotes hanging about
Thanks for the idea x
I know right, such a good reminder!
These are incredibly cute!! Definitely making some soon! xxx
Love it! So random though, earlier today I made something very similar. Great minds think alike?
Most definitely! I would love to see your take on the idea!
Love this, already working on some wall frame quotes

Yay! What were you thinking to put in them?
I love this idea! Totally using it for my room next year at college! Also, question: do you have any ideas about a DIY for this skirt? https://www.perniaspopupshop.com/sweet-spot/pernia-qureshi-9
Love it!!

Me too!
Love this suggestion! I’ve even gone simpler and framed initials, ampersands, etc. I’m all about saving money on wall decor!

I don’t know, so sorry! Try a homewares store?
Keeping line with the very first quote, I think these are best kept simple– both in black and white and the message!
Yeah I totally agree, mine would say ‘Keep it simple stupid’
Where can I find the glass frame with the wood around at the top?
Not sure! I like to too
Pretty pretty
love this!
So going to do this at my house!
Hanging quotes around is a lovely idea. I used to just write them on colourful post-its and stick them on the wall behind my computer. This is decidely more chic

Hahaha I am a bit the same – but it would be nice to take a few hours on a weekend and put some cool ones up.
I love this, Geneva! Now I have to go find pretty fonts
Oh, I have so many quotes… don’t know which one to pick. It would definitely be something simple.

I have similar in my home
http://www.martasfashiondiary.com/
“The person, be it gentleman or lady, who has not pleasure in a good novel must be intolerably stupid”
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the lights”
I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time now! I think it’s such a fun, creative way to design a place
Great idea!

I like “don’t stop when you’re tired, stop when you’re finished”… It helps me maintain motivation:)
I love that too, thanks!
Love the prints! Nice to have some inspiration around the house

Totally agree!
I’ve worked on something pretty similar a little while ago and my definite favourite says “You are prettiest when you’re happy”
‘Doubt is worse than the most awful of truths’
I was going to get it tattooed but I may have to wait until I quit modelling. It’s about honesty and trust and It’s become my main mantra over the last year.
And each of The Four Agreements (which I recommend everyone read!). I’m planning a photo/illustration wall in my house, which I’m adding to all the time so this is a great idea to pad it out with.
I have some up on my wall, I love them! They make me happy and I love the simplicity x

Love quotes. Love this idea.
I prefer: “Forgive them.”
