DIY INSPIRATON – DOLCE & GABBANA AW12

The Dolce and Gabbana shows never fail to impress me – every season I absolutely love what they do. Their eye for the female silhouette, along with a penchant for DIYable embellishments means they’re a frontrunner for me season after season. Their recent collection was no exception, with pearls, flowers, lace, chains, embellished headbands and oversized earrings inspiring me no end. Feast your eyes on my favourite pieces! You can make a super easy DIY out of the 7th look! I’m thinking about looking through thrift stores to find a velvet dress and sewing ruffles at the neckline and sleeve holes!

I couldn’t take my breath away when I saw the collection, it’s definitely an ideal DIY project, however, 2 years ago I’d done something similar with the their embellished pop socks hehe. I used a cheapo pair of lace socks from H&M and broken up golden flowers necklace from primark and stitch them on.
I’d love to see some closeups of the jewelry. The pieces are so amazing! The belts, the jackets, the shoes. Oh my!

I adore Dolce & Gabbana’s collections pretty much ALWAYS, but this time I really thought that these pieces look more like a Christian Lacroix collection. Either way, all the ruffles and lace are making me drool… excuse me, I need to find a napkin!
