DIY STOLEN GIRLFRIENDS INSPIRED KNITTED SHORTS

Introducing my DIY knit shorts. Ok, so I can’t knit to save myself, and it was actually my boyfriend’s mum who kindly made these for me (shout out to the best boyfriends mum ever!) after seeing my post about Barbro Anderson’s knit shorts here (click through to her website for the tutorial). Check out her tutorial here. They’re all sorts of Stolen Girlfriends Club and I feel pretty spoilt. I love putting these on along with my favorite soft jersey tee, and hanging out on the couch pretending its not 42 degrees outside. I think this coming winter would be a good time to learn how to use a set of knitting needles, but when does anyone (other than Charlotte York) have time to learn a new skill like that?
Wow those are great! They look super comfy and cute. I wish I could knit as well, but alas…

Knitting isn’t all that difficult. I picked it up a couple of years ago and it’s been a pretty great skill in my diy world.

Wow these came out great! I actually like them more than the original ones! I am not the greatest knitter myself, but I think this will be the perfect project to keep me busy this coming winter
They look great! So sweet of your bf’s mum too. I remember my grandma tried teaching me to knit when I was younger but I didn’t have the patience for it. I wish I had paid more attention now though!
It’s really not that hard to learn! There are so many tutorials out there! I learned just by doing that!

They look fab! I’ve been trying to knit a pair of cabled shorts for a few months, but keep getting the gusset wrong. and nobody wants a shonky gusset.

as far as learning a new skill, for me sewing comes before knitting. i keep wanting to learn to sew.. sigh..

Well This Knitted shorts are so lovely!! Just Loved the color these shorts!!
These are totally on my to-knit list. Don’t usually use circulars so will have to figure that one out. But they are so sweet, and cozy that they are well worth some self help youtube sessions.
Can you take a picture of these shorts head on? because I’ve been trying to figure out how she made these with that tutorial since they don’t look that much a like…
